15-17 December 2009, Bangkok, Thailand – The seminar (a) identified strategies to strengthen ATUC participation and involvement in ILO ASEAN programmes; (b) explored measures to strengthen ATUC structures for effective participation and engagement with ASEAN; and (c) developed a joint action agenda on ILO-ATUC-ITUC AP cooperation.
Some 34 representatives of ATUC affiliates, including NTUC, CITU, KSBSI, CCTU, LFTU, MTUC, FFW, LCT, TTUC, SERC, NCPE, VGCL, FTUB, TLTUC, and TUCP. ILO/ACTRAV led by Director Dan Cunniah and ITUC-AP led by General Secretary Noriyuki Suzuki, and some GUF representatives also participated.
